<p>Tóm lại, thuật ngữ này là một bản dịch &ldquo;word-by-word&rdquo; từ tiếng Anh (<em>Geometric Series</em>), và tiếng Anh thì mượn khái niệm từ bộ môn Hình học của người Hy Lạp cổ, nơi các phép nhân tỉ lệ ban đầu được dùng để đo lường các hình khối chứ chưa được trừu tượng hóa thành các con số thuần túy như ngày nay.</p>]]></description>
